I will start off and say that my ER experience was the only time during my entire stay that I felt I was in good hands. The RN Tracy who was my ER nurse was absolutely fantastic. She not only kept me informed every step of the way but showed compassion and put me at ease. The doctor in the ER was also very concerned for my health and wanted to best for so he admitted me. The only person in the ER that I seriously questioned her credentials was the shift change nurse who almost gave me morphine when my blood pressured had bottomed out. If the vitals machine didn't start beeping causing a second nurse to walk in and literally yell at the other nurse to stop immediately, morphine would have been in my system. From there I was moved to a room on the fourth floor which is a post-op floor for observation. The overnight RN didn't have a clue what she as doing and all over the place. I was repeatedly asked if I wanted pain medications despite my blood pressure being incredibly low and then I was given a blood thinner even though I was possibly going in for surgery. The doctor who was assigned to me didn't seem to have an absolute clue what he was doing and blew off my concerns. Now I had severe stomach pain, extremely low blood pressure, extremely high heartrate, fever, chills, and the high white blood count but according to this doctor I was stressed out. Yes the scans came back negative and yes I know stress can do crazy things but this was not stress. My white blood count was sky high which I'm guessing stress would not cause. The from there when I voiced my concerns to the RN that I was feeling blown off and not being taken care of, no one showed up in my room for the rest of the day which further proves that I was being blown off. So not only did they lack compassion, they lacked knowledge and could have potentially caused fatal reactions should they administered the morphine and if I needed surgery with a blood thinners in my system. I will not be going back to this hospital unless I am looking to be ignored and die.

My dad was rushed here to the ER. We've been here for 5 hours and it took me to ask when we're getting any information. The nurse was very nice but other than that we were treated as irrelevant. Other than "his blood work was a little abnormal so we'll admit him shortly" Nothing? No other information than that. His BP was dangerously low and it wasn't even addressed, someone just came in and shut off the beeping. I hear nothing but gossip out in the halls, which I get to talk while you work. But my mom and I are waiting crying and hoping he'll be okay but they're treating it like no big deal. Will not be coming back to this hospital even if I'm desperate.
